Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.


Pastor Mark Boon, Interim Lead Pastor

Pastor Mark Boone will begin serving as lead pastor of Living Waters Church on Sunday, November 12, 2017. Mark is on the staff of the Minnesota District of the Assemblies of God as World Missions and Home Missions Ministry Support.

Kevin Taylor, Youth Pastor

Kevin serves as Youth Pastor at Living Waters Church. The After Shock Youth Ministry meets each Wednesday from 6:30-8:00 pm in the Youth Building with services for grades 6 through 12. Kevin also serves as the director of the Alexandria Area Youth for Christ.

  • WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FOOD? Chicken Fried Steak
  • WHERE DID YOU GO TO SCHOOL? Grantham University
  • BEST THING SOMEONE HAS SAID TO YOU? “Thank you for doing what you do.”
  • YOUR LIFE VERSE? Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
  • WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BOOK? “All In” by Mark Batterson
  • WHAT MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU? I am a huge fan of Futball (only a few will understand this). 
  • YOUR FAMILY (spouse, and children)? Wife, Nicki; daughter, Lexi; and son, Luke.
  • WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME? What’s that? Kidding! Fish in the summer and snowboard in the winter.

Lynette Staie, Administrative Assistant 

Lynette serves as administrative assistant at the church. She has many duties that she performs. Some of these include making appointments and receiving visitors, screening and routing incoming calls, checking and responding to emails, participating in weekly meetings, preparing weekly bulletin and overhead graphics for church service, typing correspondence for the pastor, keeping church databases and mailing lists current, and whatever other duties she is assigned. Lynette and her family have been attending Living Waters Church for over four years.

  • WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FOOD? Chocolate and Mexican food (tacos)
  • WHERE DID YOU GO TO SCHOOL? Farmington Public School (K-8), Christian Life School (9-12)
  • BEST THING SOMEONE HAS SAID TO YOU? My mother said “Why worry when you can pray. Trust Jesus. He’ll lead the way. Don’t be a doubting Thomas. Why worry when He promised. Why worry, worry, worry, worry, when you can pray.”
  • YOUR LIFE VERSE? Psalm 46:10 “He says be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
  • WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BOOK? As I get older, I find myself reading more and more. Don’t have a favorite book, but love anything written by Robin Jones Gunn.
  • WHAT MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU? I took a few American Sign Language classes.
  • YOUR FAMILY (spouse, children and grandchildren)? Husband, Kent; daughter, Autumn; and son, Makira.

Genevieve Lock, Financial Secretary

Genevieve serves as the Financial Secretary of the church and handles the One Call Now notification calling service. She has attended Living Waters Church for over 40 years and has been involved in many areas of service in those years such as Sunday School coordinator, Missionettes instructor, secretary to the pastor, and bookkeeper. She has been a faithful servant in the house of the Lord.

  • WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FOOD? Meat and potato burrito.
  • WHERE DID YOU GO TO SCHOOL? Kensington Public Schools and Mankato Commercial College.
  • YOUR LIFE VERSE? Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
  • WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BOOK? “Bangladesh, Tears and Laughter” by missionary Marian Olson.
  • YOUR FAMILY (spouse, children and grandchildren)? 2 step daughters, 5 step grandchildren, 6 step great grandchildren.
